I have an application that is being bundled by VMware ThinApp. Within this application there is a service that needs to run. This service runs as a "Local System Account" and spawns a process which then proceeds to check other processes (which are part of the ThinApp environment) owned by the user of the system. For example, one C++ call that is made is to GetParent() and this call fails with "Access Denied" within the ThinApp environment. Normally, this call works just fine without ThinApp involved. I assume there is a config parameter or ini setting that is missing but I haven't come across any so far that have resolved this issue. I can certainly provide more information upon request. Thanks for any help.
