Hello,
I'm trying to package MS Office Standard/Pro Plus 2010 (VL edition) + MS Project Pro 2010 (VL edition), but no luck so far. Executing thinapped Access, Outlook, Word and Project exes always triggers self repair warning messages. Although the program runs fine (with the exception of "Help" option) when I cancel the dialog box, it is really annoying to see these warnings each time I execute any of them.
I have tried to follow this guide but it wasn't helpful for my situation. I have run some tools to identify the reg keys or any missing files from the package mainly with spystudio but that wasn't helpful either, since I wasn't able to interpret all the data it generates.
If there is anything I'm missing to successfully pack Office 2010 can someone advise where should I look to try and fix this issues?
Another issue is when the package is deployed in win 7 x64 help and clip art is not displaying image thumbnails on the right panel, as you can see from the img. attached below.
FYI, I followed every guide on the net I could find and repeated the process more than a dozen times and the results were similar, with self repair issues.
Some info what I used in the process.
ThinApp v5.1.0 Enterprise
Capturing OS: VM Win XP SP3 ONLY (no updates/patches or hotfix). Tried also VM Win 7 SP1 (x86) with similar results.
Software used, one at a time: 1. MS Office 2010 Standard (SP2) + MS Project Pro 2010 (SP2).
Feature Options:
a) Run all from My Computer.
b) Custom Install (only the features I needed).
2.MS Office 2010 Standard (SP2) Alone.
Feature Options:
a) Run all from My Computer.
b) Custom Install (only the features I needed).
3. MS Office 2010 Pro Plus (SP2)+ MS Project Pro 2010 (SP2).
